These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the money transfer service operated at lightmt.com ("the Service"), provided by Light Money Transfer, a company registered in Rwanda ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service does
We provide a money transfer service. When you send money through us, we convert the value via USDT (a stablecoin) as part of moving funds from you to your recipient. This is disclosed openly — see "How it works" on our homepage for the full process.
2. Rates and fees
Rates are based on live market prices and update continuously. The rate we quote you includes our margin — there are no additional hidden fees beyond the quoted rate. The final rate is confirmed with you before your transfer proceeds; once confirmed, that is the rate used for your transaction.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information — including the correct amount, currency, and recipient details. We are not responsible for funds sent to an incorrect recipient due to information you provided incorrectly.
4. Cancellations and refunds
If your transfer has not yet been paid out to the recipient, you may request a cancellation and refund by contacting us. Once a transfer has been paid out to the recipient, it is final and cannot be reversed or refunded.
5. Prohibited use
You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, or financing illegal activity. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any transaction we reasonably believe violates this section.
6. Service availability
We rely on third-party market data and payment channels to operate the Service. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including network outages, third-party service disruptions, or market data unavailability.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda. Any disputes arising from use of the Service will be handled under Rwandan jurisdiction.
